Learn how to confidently and accurately assess saddle fit with our pathway to saddle fitting course. ​

Ideal for horse owners, equine body workers, trainers, veterinarians and aspiring saddle fitters.

The course  will cover the basics of saddle fit, saddle safety how to identify an ill-fitting saddle.

Successful candidates may progress towards a career in saddle fitting ​and enrol on to our stage 3 certification course.

COURSE AIM

The aim of the course is to provide you with a thorough understanding of the importance of saddle fit and how you as a horse owner or equine professional can identify saddle fit issues and progress towards a career in saddle fitting.

CONTENT  ​ The one day practical will contain a mixture of both theoretical and practical training where you will be working in groups to assess a variety of different horses and saddles. Practical clothing and footwear is recommended along with any other PPE you feel would be necessary. We will be working in an outdoor venue so please ensure you have appropriate clothing for the weather.

REFRESHMENTS ​ Tea, coffee and water will be provided and there will be several comfort breaks throughout the day. Lunch is not provided so please bring something along with you as there are no catering facilities on site. Detailed joining instructions will be provided closer to the date. 100% cancellation fee at any time. If you are unable to attend the practical element it is possible to complete the training virtually or potentially transfer to another date depeding on availability. Please contact admins@saddle-academy.com if you need to cancel your place for any reason.
