About the event
Join us for a one day interactive workshop exploring the horse, saddle and rider interaction. Learn how your saddle is affecting your position and how to identify obvious problems while understanding the dynamic relationship between each component.Â
Course AimÂ
Students will learn how their saddle is helping or hindering their position and effectiveness as a rider and/or causing pain in the body while gaining an understanding of how the fit of their saddle may be affecting their horse. Students will also learn how to evaluate the horse for symmetry and gait while gaining an insight into the anatomy of the horse, saddle and rider. No riding is required for the day.Â

Time Table Example:Â
10am - Welcome and Intro. 10.30am Rider Anatomy & Biomechanics. 12pm Lunch. 12.45pm Saddle Anatomy and Basic Fitting for Horse. 2pm Tea Break. 2.15pm Assessing Saddle Fit for the Rider and Implications. 3.30pm Questions and Debrief.Â
Refunds and Cancellations:
Cancellations made less than 8 weeks prior to the event will not be eligable for a refund. Cancellations made more than 8 weeks prior to the event will be entitled to a full refund minus £25 admin fee.Â
Venue
This event takes places at a working farm with sessions taking place in an covered outdoor area. Please dress in suitable clothes and apporpriate footwear.Â
Tea, Coffee and water will be provided however lunch is not included. Students are invited to bring lunch with them or alternatively there are shops in the local area.Â

 Lodge Farm is located on a dead-end road on Pyotts Hill (at a sharp bend). The track for the farm will be located on the right hand side of the dead end road (also called Pyotts Hill), you will see a small red post box and long concrete drive. Please follow the drive all the way to the top to the farm where you will be able to park and sign in.Â

YOU WILL NEED: - Your regular saddle/s and stirrups - Lunch (no on-site catering) - Suitable footwear and outdoor clothing Venue Location - Lodge Farm is located along a dead end road (Pyotts hill) which is situated on a sharp bend. Continue along the dead end road and you will see the a long concrete drive with a small red post box at the entrance. Please follow the long drive all the way up and parking will be at the very top.
